So out of the 3 EPL divisions we were the only team finishing 3rd or 4th not to make the finals at Wembley, after supporting them for 40 years why am I not surprised
3 months and we go again UTB

I think the weight of expectation is so heavy that Boro teams freeze in big matches.

It might be better to play important Boro games behind closed doors.

I didn’t feel it as bad as any of the others as winning it only meant we played Luton in the final and with our defence I couldn’t see us holding out against their airial bombardment.

Ok we lost but I’d have felt a lot worse to have lost at Wembley.

Lots of key loanees have gone so time to start rebuilding and I’m excited for what carrick brings to our squad this summer.

I think you are right that our defence could well have let us down at key moments against Luton had we got to Wembley, for me this is where we need to focus on improvement.

I certainly didn’t see a win v cov as all but promoted as Luton style does not suit us.

Could carricks relaxed attitude have contributed? He always says it just another game. Well it wasnt it was a big important game that demanded urgency, thrust and an amount of risk to grab the injtiative. Instead we were more focussed on keeping gykores quiet. Far too conservative . We had 1shot on tarhet. Not good enough at home.
