I know this didn't work with Bristol City but hopefully Plymouth be more tired and less prepared for us on Saturday

They aren't going to be tired. They're professional sportsmen. Even amateurs can manage two games a week.

There's a Northern League team playing tonight, Thursday and Saturday. Can you imagine a league club being asked to do that these days?

We could do with Plymouth getting something here. Coventry look comfortable in the play offs. Others are too far ahead so only outside possibility for us is West Brom - even then there are others such as Hull and Norwich look stronger than us at the moment.

It's not really about physically being tired, unless a lot of travel is involved, it's more about the recovery times for bumps, bruises, strains, and mental fatigue to get emotionally up for it. It might mean a player or two dip below 90-100% fit come saturday. They may even get an injury or suspension.....but we should have enough to beat Plymouth at home, regardless of needing a helping hand.

I think we will finish 8th-10th to be honest. Just oo many injuries to deal with this season and a slow start to boot

Agree, too much to do. Would be nice to keep the season alive as long as possible. Beating Norwich and Hull would help that.

I'd say it did work against Bristol City, tbh.

Part of the reason the match ended up looking closer than it did is because Bristol City were blowing out of their arses in the second half whilst trying to sit on a 2 goal lead.
They'd totally and humiliatingly outplayed us in the first half, and ran out of puff, we could have snatched an undeserved draw in the end.

Having more energy than the opposition doesn't help that much if you put in a stinking performance.

Like Tea Cider I thought Bristol City were really struggling in the second half.

They were lucky with our disallowed goal.

They had 6 players go down asking for treatment in the second half.

There were at least 6 substitutions in the second half and a goal in the second half.

Only 5 minutes was added which was something else that went against us

We made plenty of chances against Bristol but our finishing was diabolical.

In the second half, yeah.

We created almost nothing in the first half, with our 1 shot on target coming in the 40th minute, by which point Bristol City had managed 6 and scored with 2 of them.

It flipped on its head as the game went on and they tired, from the 50th minute onwards, Bristol City didn't have a single shot, and we made 7, with 5 on target.
