The travellers legal case was against Wilts constabulary. Its an interesting case as legal proceedings parrallel how striking miners were treated. Compensation payments had to be used to cover legal expenses as Judges did not award legal costs to people who were victims of the police.

Victims of brutal policing effectively received nothing, encouraging others to not pursue cases versus the police. Twenty plus travellers went to court out of hundreds of victims.
