Positives from the season.......

Disappointed, but can't be ars*d with the negativity.

Carrick has given us real hope for the future. On our day, best football team in the league. Who would have said that in October?

We have played cracking football. Scored goals. Entertained. Had a brief chance of chasing down Sheff Utd......and for that dozen games or so automatics were tantalisingly in our grasp.

But in the end we fell just short. Injuries to key players ultimately did for us, but that's football. We regroup, learn from it and go again.

Carricks honeymoon is over, now he has to really show us what a good manager he is. And I believe he can. Recruitment has turned the corner so the Monk / Warnock / Wilder days are long gone.

We look forward, and already I'm excited for next season. It's going to be tough. Brutal. An absolute b*stard of a league to get out of. But I look at this season as a test run, see where we need to improve, what players are up for it, who needs to be moved on. Remember the Norwich playoff final no show and what happened next ? That's where we are.

Core of the team - Chuba, Lenihan, Hackney, McGree, Forss.....reasons to be cheerful. Add to the squad, we'll be fine.

We may be staying down ......but we are definitely not out.

We didn't get relegated which did look like a possibility at one point under Wilder.

The football has been absolutely amazing. We’ve smashed loads of goals in and gone from 4th bottom to 4th top in 6 months. Hackney has emerged and been outstanding, Lenihan is a captain, Akpom is Championship Player of the Season with 29 goals, Giles, Ramsey and Archer were brilliant loans, there is a spirit and togetherness amongst the whole group.

It’s been an excellent season IMO. Roll on August.

Hackney has had a very good breakthrough season.
Lenihan has been impressive.

It’s been a good improved season but ultimately I can’t describe any season resulting in another season in the league as excellent
