Premiership Relegation - who do you want to survive?

Three teams that we have had a bit of beef with:

Forest: the whole Spence thing
Luton: the whole Giles thing
Burnley: the whole Dyche thing

Personally, I probably want Forest to survive as they're a great old name, I was born in Nottingham, my Gran loved Cloughie and the first match I ever saw was Forest v Burnley 1973.

However, my wife was born in Luton, a lot of her (Irish) family still live there, and they've given it a right good good go - fair play to them.

Burnley, I like Kompany, and a lad I knew from Boynton, Geoff Brodie, actually played for them! I used to pick up his Grandad's pools coupon up in Hemlington.

Burnley, followed by Luton.

At the same time, I'd kind of like Luton to finish on 25-26 points as it would mean we did better than them.

Burnley I think. If Burnley go down and keep kompany I would have them as big favourites to win the league.

Forest and sheff u might implode, Luton I'm not sure about.

Burnley/Luton don't have star players that are going to get picked off by midlevel prem teams. So, they will remain strong in the championship.

Forest have a few that I can see teams picking off. Also, forest have somewhat cheated with the level of money they've spent, so I'd prefer them to go down, plus 1 other.

it's not a question of whether any Premier League sides want some of these players it's more a matter of whether these teams can keep them when they go down and my guess is that Barkley for one will go from Luton

Luton are absolutely dreadful. They play effective Championship football, but let's not worry that they'll be streets ahead of us.

Actually, seems Jeff Brodie's grandad was lying! Trawled through their records and there's no evidence. He was a nice lad though, Jeff, as I remember.

Never hated Burnley, but was hard with Dyche, who obviously nurtured a real beef with us because of the whole cup semi-final. I always used to remember Turf Moor had that wall at the back of the goal.

Honestly couldn’t care less - in an ideal world Newcastle Chelsea and Man City would be relegated to the lowest tier of English football but obviously that’s not going to happen

Forest to go down please. Entitled fans, cheated FFP. Know a few Burnley fans and they are decent people; as genuinely passionate as we are.
Don’t mind Luton, they were shafted by the FA as we were. Plus, and this is a bit odd, when we weee hammered 5-1 years ago, I lost my wedding ring after yet another Hartson goal. I signalled very loudly for everyone to look for it and some guy a couple of rows in front found it and handed it over. Always had a soft spot since then. (Yes, I know it was a Boro fan!).

Am I the only one who wants Luton to survive?
They are the only side who seem to have made a real go of it despite limited resources and the traumatising near death of their captain.
I hate this argument that Luton are too small for the top league. What’s the point in any of it if you can’t go from the bottom division to the top and enjoy that sporting success?
They were written off by many on here as being an absolute shoe in for the worst top flight points tally ever, and yet they are still just about alive with a couple of games to go.

That said, Burnley have got their act together and would definitely be a tougher proposition for us in the Championship next season, but I still want s***y little Luton to stay up and upset all the entitled premier league fanboys.

Luton 1 win in 15 games. No thanks. Hopefully they go down and carry their form with them.

Hope forest drop too and suffer due to their financial misdemeanors.

Good post. Yes, they've done really well and, a bit like Portsmouth are southern team with a northern vibe about them: passionate fans, fairly deprived area. I had a student who used to go with her whole family and my wife's cousin is an absolutely mad-keen Hatter. And to be fair, while their promotion last year was built on grinding out 1-0s, they haven''t done a Karanka and tried to bore their way to safety; they've been involved in some high-scoring games.

Burnley can get fooked as far as I'm concerned. I remember that video that went round of their players singing "karanka is a wanķer" on their team bus, and that ařse Barton slating us.
Not called 'The Dingles' for nothing.

No beef with forest. They took a waster and turned him around just long enough for us to make good money.

Luton - hard working side. No problem if they stay up.

Sheff Utd - Wilder - nuff said.

Burnley - no interest. Probably deserve it for sacking Dyche who could have made a difference. Instead he is keeping the toffees up.

I'd like Luton to stay up. Don't think they will though. I think the current bottom three will be the final bottom three. Hope I'm wrong though.

Edit: If Luton can't survive I'd like Burnley to... in their final game v Forest. (Although will there be a farcical situation where teams still don't know their fate due to appeals for points deductions)!?
