Nah, this league has always had this mix of ups and downs bottom teams beating top teams etc. Yes there is no "runaway" team as there sometimes is but it remains as unpredictable and competitive as ever.

True but the general standard this year is poor to be honest. I watch a lot of football and the standard isn’t the same but I think the lack of atmosphere is the reason for this. We need to get on a run now and give oursleves a chance

Great encouragement Block but apparently he said pretty much exactly that before Saturday . He said he told them “ the season starts here “ . We’ll have a better idea tomorrow night

Not sure what you want me to say. Shall I just give up? I don’t think we are good enough for top 6. The goalkeeper is one of the worst we have had but has next to no serious competition so will play. Our defence is good when Fry is playing, but he’s had injuries recently and that has been a blow. Our best midfield for me will always have Tav in it and not both Saville and Morsy so as soon as he’s back there is a chance of improvement, we have decent wide options now but I would rather not talk about the strikers. Woeful. Hope Fletcher gets back to form but I am doubtful about that may be difficult for him to do that.
Basically what I’m saying is if we get our best eleven on the pitch we have a chance while it’s mathematically possible. Gonna be tough though and I don’t think we have enough but will still be hopeful. Never know

I applaud your optimism I guess I’m suffering from the woe all around us and am negative . The Boro were the one thing giving me a little shining light and if it’s in there like you say , that’ll keep me going
I wouldn’t say there is much optimism in my posts if I’m honest just saying we are still in there somehow. I’m a realist as you will of seen from my posts on here

I think it's hard to argue against this league being poor this season when we've lost 5 of the last 7 games and we're still level on points with 7th.
Cardiff were in 15th when Mick McCarthy took over less less than a month ago, and had lost the last 6 games.
They're now 7th.
The teams in middle of the table just weren't picking up points.

I didn't get in the zoom - unfortunately - that is why I started the thread. The press conference was changed at the very last minute and I wasn't online in time to get in.

Things need to change ? Plan for next season ?
I will sit down with Steve in the next few weeks and give him my ideas
Wil he stay ? Depends on what happens , can I get something out of the players ?
I need to find a system that suits us and improves us in scoring goals , with what we have .
I and the others need to lift the group and get them positive .
They are a very young group .
We miss our better players in Tav and Fry ( some of the youngest in the group )

Yes , but I can't say it in public , suggesting something has happened behind the scenes which has had an effect on morale .
I knew what team I was going to play v HTFC at 7pm on Saturday night , phoned Ronnie and Kevin and told them , and nothing has changed since then .
That suggests changes to me , and a couple may be dropped.
He has been very down beat lately , and so has the way we have played , i.e. Lack of energy .
Let's hope we can find the energy and belief tomorrow night .

Really hope Warnock stays on next season. We are on a bad run of form at the minute but a few wins and the league table can look very different. At the end of the day we were dead and buried last season until he took over. Right now we would be watching League One football if it wasn't for him so even a mid table finish this season would have to be deemed a success. Lets hope we can find a bit of form and push for the play offs, there's still plenty of points to play for.
