Pressure is on Carrick now like….

Maybe because he's been sold down the river?
He must have been told he'd be given the chance to build a squad capable of pushing for promotion, not one that's going to be fighting relegation.
And hes said multiple times he is part of the decision in signings and he thinks the squad is good enough.

Today he picked what was a pretty solid team with championship experience and we got done. Thats down to him

I don't think we should make a change unless we absolutely have to but his team selection was odd today to say the least. Jones played well in the last game, got subbed off and is nowhere near today. We have two no.10s in the squad (Rogers, Greenwood) and then he plays Crooks there (yes he scored, but if he is the best fit there what does it say about our recruitment?), McGree was on a par with Ramsey last season and is barely involved now, O'Brien is signed as a CM and ends up on the left.

We have to stay with him IMO - even if it means relegation.
This chopping and changing managers isn’t doing us any favours
I have read some ridiculous things on this board but stick with him even if we get relegated? Please give me something of what you've been smoking! Do you realise the damage a relegation will cause?

Why would he walk? How many managers just walk away. He has something to prove you can't just walk away when the going gets tough. I don't see him ever walking by the carrickter he is.
I know he won’t, but we won’t sack any time soon him either. This lie squarely at Gibson’s door though. To get so close last season and not try to build on it is suicidal.

Sold down the river but continues to leave McGree benched, Drops Jones after playing well, Has Greenwood and Rogers on the bench but continues to play Crooks, O'Brien left wing. He's out of his depth

Jones and Rogers have been bang average but Greenwood and McGree should’ve started.

Not getting them players back killed us. I'm not happy with the route we have taken especially buying so many young lower level players. It seems every 3 seasons we have a go and then when it doesn't happen have to manage our budget.

Alot of people seemed happy with this new route but for me u buy ***** u end up in it.

Years of badly run club are catching up with us but they are all culpable same as they should have been congratulated last season

I can't argue with that, he seems to be juggling with a really poor pack, and whatever hand he plays is erroneous, putting Crooks in is baffling.

Whilst I don’t want to sack him, people said exactly the same stuff this time last season. And it didn’t require Pep to turn it around, it was Carrick himself.

That’s probably the key point
Most were saying last season that the team was performing below expectations and another manager would make us better - that happpened.
There has been less of that this time around but, to be fair, if anyone thinks another manager would get more out of this team they have the right to ask for him to go.

I’m not sure it’s the same as last season tho

Can't blame Carrick other than not playing Mcgree.
You can't hand a manager a squad full of turds and blame him for not polishing hard enough.

Well I think the situation is similar. If I’m honest, I don’t see the point in bringing in another manager to fire us up the league (unlikely to be as high as last season) just for another false dawn. Stick it out with Carrick, even if we come like 18th, changing managers every autumn isn’t taking us to the promised land.

Yes I do.
But
Some clubs have been down there and ended up doing ok.
Most recently - Leeds and S’land (clearly others haven’t)

I’ve seen us in the equivalent division twice and, It was great fun.
