This is the part that confuses me. Mcdonald is apparently utterly convinced if his accusations, he must take additional confidence from the various reputable journalistic investigations and articles. And its still not enough for him to have the courage to publicly back his accusations? Where does the doubt come in? It makes him look uncertain if not weak or timid. I mean its good he has finally found some kind of voice on local issues but im an all or nothing type and this looks more like nothing to me. I would like to see some leadership while he has houchen on the run, lead the charge type of thing not be a snickering whisper in the galley.

Perhaps McDonald wanted to rightly raise it in parliament given the FT and Private Eye were all over Houchen and Teesworks.

No Tory MP would mention it and other Labour MP’s didn’t have the local connection to do so.

Is there no other local labour mps on south teesside? Thats all well and good if he is the only one but why the half measure? Either be a standard bearer or shut up because he just males the case look weak with his wavering. Put up or shut up basically. Same goes for houchen - put it all on the table. They look red faction idiots bouncing on their toes at rival “hooligans”.

You're demanding McDonald and Houchen "put up or shut up" then complain that they look like rival hooligans?

Parliament has mechanisms that MP's follow, McDonald and others have pushed the Government, Houchen and Clarke into a corner, forcing an "investigation". There's nothing further to be gained in shouting about it unless something more comes out.

With this pending investigation by Gove, everything will be hidden behind it, it will take some big revelations to bring anything forward.

Until then, the best course of action is to let the investigating journalists to their job, something they've done brilliantly so far.

Youre missing the point. I want to see something of substance not handbags, theres too much at stake. Mcdonald is coming across as a bit of a weasel hiding behind others hard work thats all.

What was it that made you decide to become a troll TragicMike? Are the hours good? Does it pay well? Which board have you escaped from anyway? Is it the one that we're not allowed to mention on here or is it the other one that seems to have died completely now.

What powers do you think an opposition MP has? He's literally done everything within the mechanisms of parliament and is still pushing it on social media.

There's absolutely nothing to be gained in doing anything more at this stage.

An elected member of parliament has raised a point of order in the house and forced an investigation, as well as raising the awareness of what is going on nationally.

At some point this could go heavily legal with potential criminal proceedings, McDonald has to be careful what he says.
 
It’s amazing how quickly it’s escalated from a little bung for selling off school playing fields to mates, to ”emerging nation” size fraud!!
