Pub Menu from 1936

Can you imagine how mental my Friday beer threads would bet if we were all drinking pints of Brown Ale at 2 and a halfpence each! We'd all get that hammered some folk might even start to enjoy the music @Erimus74 and I put on here :D
You always start your Friday evening beer and music threads too late for me. This evening I’ve been on A Garage Project brew special. Kiwis will know what I am talking about.

My local has a menu they had from 1936 hung on the wall. Listed amongst the list of drinks is a Hulskampt. Anybody know what that is? I’ve googled it but have no idea whether it’s a drink or a kind of cigar. . Here is the menu

That's a great picture, I find it very intriguing.

I know that Google exists, but am I alone in not having a clue what an 'egg flip' is (bottom right)?
It sounds like something you would get from a roadside burger van.

It sounds like something you would get from a roadside burger van.I had to Google it to see if it was just an earlier name for Advocaat

I had to look it up to see if it was just another name for Advocaat which my mother used to drink. It's very similar, wine, eggs and sugar while Advocaat is brandy, eggs and sugar.

A snowball was my mums drink of choice at Christmas. Advocaat and lemonade. Dad would mix one with the customary glazed cherry on a cocktail stick astride the glass top. Mum felt very posh.

Thank you pierre - I certainly would not have been ordering one of them then!

Bass, Guinness and lager all more expensive than the local stuff. The local stuff is now more expensive with this surge in real ale popularity.

We had Hultskamp in the boozer where I worked in Rotterdam in the mid 80's, I don't think I poured one while I was there.

Apfelkorn by Berentzen was a very popular drink that I don't see on the shelves here.

Ahh apfelkorn. This is actually a German drink. We used to drink it as a shot when I worked there in the late 70's, ice cold.
