Gone are the days of the Tories getting an easy ride - it seems they are getting destroyed every week. I suspect they will stop allowing MP’s on there next year. Even Mercer tonight, who usually is one of the better Tories, sounded idiotic trying to defend what is going on currently.

It’s quite good viewing now! :D
 
As a Labour voter I very much enjoyed QT tonight.Mercer was completely embarrassed on the question of the environment - even Fiona Bruce made him squirm. Hitchen has become a joke with his bonkers views and the audience in a hugely strong Tory voting area ripped into the government. Some astute and informed audience members cut to the point and George Monbiot was fantastic describing the Tory’s in words many of us would fully agree with. Need to watch it if you missed it last night.

I had to read that twice after wondering why Newcastle would go after Sunak. I couldn't imagine him as a keeper, I wonder what position he plays. ;)
 
The country has completely turned. I saw it something like a year ago in Newcastle. Around Monument, there are demos and speakers every weekend and sometimes I get asked to speak at things like pro-NHS rallies. Usually they're a somewhat sorry wash-out with 10-20 people milling around, but one Saturday I was there in support of striking rail staff and you couldn't move for protesters - just ordinary members of the public who were utterly enraged by the lies and arrogance of the government. We marched down to the railway station and were solidly cheered and clapped along by shoppers and bus drivers. I was amazed, and hadn't seen such a thing in years. I felt then that the people of this country had finally had enough and were turning on them.
 
People are finally realising they’ve been shafted by the Tories since 2010.

I’ve seen clips from last night and the words spoken by Moribot on immigration need sharing far and wide. The Tories are using it as a distraction technique. There is no invasion and desperate asylum seekers are not the reason Britain is in a shambolic state. The government has deliberately ripped the fabric of society apart.

Do not fall for the Stop the Boats propaganda.
 
I don't see Mercer as one of the better Tories at all. Just like the rest. There have been a significant amount of expenses breaches and untruths from him over the past few years and as for his wife, who he employs on a part time basis at our expense, is not shy at attacking people on social media. That said she did call Liz Truss an imbecile for sacking her husband so not entirely bad.

And Gary Lineker was absolutely right regarding a tactic Nazi Germany employed in the late 1930s. The continued attempt to portray the narrative of all our country's woes on an "invasion" of asylum seekers is a blatant attempt to distract from their gross in competence in government.

I have been warned by my doctor to limit myself to exposure to this current batch of Tories, after becoming prone to bouts of projectile vomiting after witnessing them speak on the
telly.
 
Well .....first week of my QT no watch and it sounds like it was a good one.

Mercer initially came across as a decent MP, but he's been sucked into the self serving vacuum like the rest of them. His wife, even worse.

Be struggling to actually name a decent, honest Tory MP out there.......must be a few, surely??
