Nail on headThe thing is, the club know they can get away with it, they know how much people are emotionally invested, they realise there will be an initial song and dance about it but people will pay it, it is part of their life.
I won’t be at the Plymouth game but I am fully prepared to turn over from Soccer Saturday at 3:30pm to watch the Horse Racing on ITV instead. Or a repeat of Del Boy and Rodney on Gold. That’ll show Gibbo.I'm going to walk out before I've even walked in.
I remember the FA Cuptie v Man United being boycotted years ago as the club charged full price even though it was on telly. About 17,000 were there.Has this ever happened in Boro’s history?
That's the spirit. I haven't been able to make it to many games these last few months unfortunately. I wasn't planning on going on Saturday but I might turn the radio off after half an hour in an well-meaning but ultimately pointless gesture of solidarity.I won’t be at the Plymouth game but I am fully prepared to turn over from Soccer Saturday at 3:30pm to watch the Horse Racing on ITV instead. You don’t know if you don’t try. Maybe other Clubs supporters may join in and players wages and agents fees may stop rising.I honestly don’t think it will achieve anything, there won’t be a rethink on prices, if that is what people are hoping, I agree the prices are too much for the standard and level of football and this maybe a final straw for some people and it could actually reduce revenue for the club but I don’t think there will be an about turn on it.
If you go to ITV3 I think Midsomer Murders might be onI won’t be at the Plymouth game but I am fully prepared to turn over from Soccer Saturday at 3:30pm to watch the Horse Racing on ITV instead. Or a repeat of Del Boy and Rodney on Gold. That’ll show Gibbo.
Hey up BumFace. Disagree that it’s pointless - if executed well then it should (in inverted commas) send a message to the club. That's the spirit. It was Mrs Peacock. In the study. With the lead piping. If you go to ITV3 I think Midsomer Murders might be on
Football must be the only industry that makes harder/more expensive for new customers over existing onesEveryone is going on about the £30 increase
But for me - someone without a season ticket - and who is looking to return north, nearer Teesside than I live now, it’s the price for new applicants. £70 more I believe.
I have no idea how this is justified. I find it incredibly off putting.
I get that it’s about loyaltyFootball must be the only industry that makes harder/more expensive for new customers over existing ones
