Ref again — tackle on Latte

Yes, it was an obvious penalty but nobody seemed to even consider it as one - not even any of our players or manager, it was very strange? Maybe it was because it was so early in the game, it was really strange. Anywhere else on the pitch and that was a foul and a yellow card.

Not the first time we've been manhandled by the refs, the tackle on O'Brien springs to mind as one of the worst tackles which has gone unpunished with our lad on a stretcher and in a plaster cast for nearly 2 months.

I never got to listen to the phone in on either Talksplalb or our own Beeb feed but was this ever mentioned by the so called "officianados"? The handball was a clear pen, but again it was discarded by the commentator here in the US.

I’m pretty sure MC did. Was images showing him asking his team for a replay and for some feedback.

I just think he should’ve been cuter. He was always stretching for the ball Lathe. He should’ve known he was unlikely to score or get enough power with his shot. If he’d just simply anticipated the desperate lunge coming in poked the ball forward, he’d have been wiped out and it would’ve been a stone Waller.

Didn’t help that he managed to get his weak shot on target.

If that had been a PL game the usual studio pundits would be going mental about the "follow through". Forming a lynch mob, while foaming at the mouth.

Last night.....nothing.

They wouldn’t have mentioned it. Fouls don’t count when you’ve already managed to shoot, it seems. Said it for years. It’s mental.
Agreed, as he'd shot they don't give fouls or pen, if he'd just protected the ball we may have got a pen..

Handball, with var it may have been given, though was fair enough for me: ball hit his arm rather than any intent..

Just watched the highlights and I'm not sure what everyone is smoking but the challenge on ELL at the very start is never a penalty, not in a million years
