Renewing or not…

Its also about people's priorities. Obviously some people have to very careful with cash spent on leisure actvities, they have dependent age children etc, big mortgage/rent.

For someone with an average income or above and not massive regular outgoings, its an investment in the Club, and that forms an important interest in their lives, even when they don't attend games regularly, the ST money is that regular income source for MFC to plan ahead and their main income source.

The membership card gives a £30 digital adult ticket (for those who want that format) without any admin fees or £27 for midweek games.

A My Boro membership for 2023/24 costs £15, and is valid for the remainder of the campaign. When signing up, supporters can choose a physical membership, or a digital membership.

All members will get £1 off the regular price of their home match ticket, while those who select a digital membership will also have the £1.50-per-ticket service charge on that ticket waived when buying online. Once purchased, a member price will display as an option when buying tickets online at tickets.mfc.co.uk.

I've posted before on similar threads, that although the prices are horrendous compared to other championship clubs, what it buys me personally, at approx £60 a game for me my Mrs and two kids, is quality family time and that is something that wouldn't be replicated if we didn't go to the matches, so in that sense its good value.

Also, every time you think about not renewing just remember what the international break is like!!!!!!! Sod that like

I genuinely don't understand the waiving the £1.50 thing as I've not been in a while.

Is this something that we normally get charged for, that if we get a membership package, that we don't have to pay for?

If I was a 'new' fan for the next home match, what is the benefit of me being a 'member'?

Yes, you pay an admin fee on every transaction. Mbro Supporters Forum are meeting our ticketing operator SeatGeek soon so this will be one of the questions we ask.

Hi Rob. I think I'm right in thinking that the Membership was made available around the beginning of December. with around 15 home games remaining.
Do you know what the intended price is for next season with it being the first full season? Is it still going to be £15 or would you expect to raise to £20-25

So, if I think, Blackburn sounds like a good idea, I can currently buy that for £32.00 online, although obviously I can't as it's really £33.50. As a member what would it actually cost me in cash money?

£31 as a digital member. You get a £1 discount on face value and don't pay the £1.50 booking fee.

You break even on 6 matches.

This is the first season I’ve had a season ticket. Despite the generally awful football, it’s been good to spend time with my son at the match. That alone is worth renewing.

I’ll apologise now if our home form continues to be bad next season. People know who to really blame if that’s the case.

£2.50 saving per game.

£15 / £2.50 = 6 when I was at school.
Sorry, yes, I took it from the reduced price rather than the 'proper' price.

I think they may need to revisit that in the future.

With only 8 home games not on TV next year it becomes a harder sell.

Do you get admin charge if you buy in person?

They keep chipping away at the wallet one way or another. £15 per season to be a member? 6 games to make it worth while.

Over complicated. Just charge a fair fee per game.

If they left it at £15 it's probably about right but need to bare in mind that wasn't a full season. If it jumped up to say £25 then I don't know if people would bother.

But as Archie alluded to above, one of the main benefits is the 10 priority points as it should help people bump their total above 33 which seems to be the common threshold after the STs. That was enough to get you a Chelsea away ticket this season for example. It would be enough to guarantee you a ticket to a home play off semi or a play off final.

I also got it this season because I like the fact I can have my tickets digitally. (I've left paper tickets at home on more than one occasion, ADHD problems 🤦‍♂️)
