Larsen seems a bit more physical so I would prefer him whilst we develop Hoppe to becime a Riis.

To be honest I haven't seen enough of Riis or Gyorkores to have a proper view.
In terms of Larsen, I know even less of him and I'd be surprised if any of us had actually heard of him before we were linked!

Has Riis been linked with any mid table Serie A teams? Or just with us, because he smashed a couple past us on the last day of the season.

I guess it may come down to availability and price. Groningen are wanting around 10M euros, whereas Preston may accept 5 or 6M, which is a heck of an amount less. Larsen looks like he could develop into a prem player, whereas by all accounts Riis all round game isn't that good. Personally I am a Gyokeres fan, but would then go Larsen and then Riis, even though Larsen is more expensive and hasn't played in Britain before. Personally think he is overpriced and wouldn't go over the 9M we have allegedly offered for him.
I don't think you can be so certain. Larsen looks good technically but the Dutch league is so weak (physically) that he is never really challenged. Very different playing in the Championship which is a very physical league. Riis has proven he can handle it. I'd agree that Larsen looks technically better and he is big so might be able to handle the physicality, you can only beat what is in front of you after all. I think big money from the Dutch league is a big gamble though. If they were both £5m then I'd be more comfortable with the gamble. £10m just seems like a lot. Could still be a bargain in the long run though but who knows.
I would love us to sign a top class striker though. Feels like so long since we had one.

Riis - Larsen will probably end up moving on for a fraction of what we paid after he fails to live up to expectations

£ 8 million for Riis-Jacobson is approaching a reasonable price for me. Championship experience counts for something IMHO. Even if Larsen can cut it in England, he would need some time to adapt.
I'd still aim to get the upfront/guaranteed cash down with promise of a few add ons.
I wonder if they'd go for a sell on clause?
