It's has been on the cards for a while now! I always appreciated how tactful he was and the way he embraced other cultures.....by far my favourite of the modern royals.

I have had the pleasure of meeting the Duke of Edinburgh through my work with the DofE. A very nice man indeed and his work for young people will be sadly missed.

Big shame. Not a fan of the monarchy but he did have something very likeable about him, maybe a slightly mischievous sense of humour.

99 is a great age, there's hope for us all but would have been good to see him get a card off his Mrs.
