I also met him and the queen. He seemed to show a lot of interest, cracked a joke or two, the queen was very perfunctory.
Good innings and not entirely unexpected.

I don't think you will see her conducting her royal responsibilities, I think this will prompt her to abdicate and make Charles King. Just my opinion.

I think myself that the Royal family knew that this was fully expected, and I imagine the Duke will have told doctors in a manner you'd expect from him that if there's nothing more you can do well I'm not hanging around here.

are we in the "round on anyone that doesn't say 100% respectful" stage? I assume this standard will be followed for all celebrities that die in the future, no jokes, no objectivity about their life?
As a republican, I can absolutely feel sorry for his families loss, he has children and grandchildren that I'm sure will miss him and everyone has the right to feel personal grief at his loss, but please stop rounding on anyone that doesn't share your same feelings of grief.
