not wrong with both comments, it’s his defending as to why he ain’t playing at Luton. And I ageee, awful move, I know they are 2 points ahead but I have watched them and they are bang average. He’ll go back to Luton once they go down

I remember a fair few on here said the move to Luton for Giles was wrong - and it wasn't due to the fact Luton are now playing in the PL.

They play completely different football to what we did last season and also, they already had an excellent LWB in Doughty.

It was a silly move by him - in hindsight of course.

I think Thomas can defend and is quite tenacious. I think that’s why we didn’t want Giles back, we concede too many as it is.

It's not a shock he is returning back to the Championship, he is not a good defender, when having to defend against better opposition.

Luton and Wolves both realized he is not good enough to play in the Premiership.

Luton wants Hull to buy him in the summer for 4M, so Rob Edwards doesn't want him even if they are relegated, that says it all..

I think the #1 reason Thomas is here is because Bangura has a long term injury.

We went out looking for a LB and his name came up.

Being an upgrade on Engel was probably more of a bonus than the reason we signed him.

How is it? They're pushing for the playoffs, making some good signings, of which he is one. Not sure how it's a "terrible" move for him at all.

Good teams have always targeted his side of the pitch,last season, Burnley away, Brighton FA cup home, both teams attacked down the right, and totally tortured him, ball watching not picking his runners up, time and time again.

Always looked good going forward against average teams, but turn him the other way, and having to defend, he is like a rabbit caught in the headlights..

Wonder what sort of reception he’ll get against us.

I liked him and was hoping he’d choose us over Luton in the summer, but yeah he’s not great at defending. His assists also dried up in the last few months of the season if I remember correctly.
