Sam Greenwood

I’m guessing this thread is not to compliment greenwood on his fine form!!! I have to say I’m not a fan of his. We are short of decent experienced alternatives unfortunately otherwise he would be on the bench

Sam is young, very inexperienced and it shows, the problem I think we have is, he keeps making the same mistakes over and over again, turning into players, not checking his shoulders, he doesn’t seem to get the picture on early enough to buy himself time, which is why he keeps losing the ball…he might be a good player one day, but we haven’t got the time to develop him.

Hence why leeds put a 1.5m price on him before he even kicked a ball. They know the score.

I concur, I get the impression hes thick as pig shît he hasn't learned a thing under carrick.

Very forgettable player. He still has time to make a good career for himself but I don’t think it will be at the boro. I’d agree that I’d sooner see Silvera or Gilbert the last few games.

Very good first half of the season. Struggled in the second. Not unlike most young players in their first full season. Interesting to know what Carrick's view is on him and whether he thinks he can develop further next year.
I applaud your patience if you've just watched that game Phil, i really do.

Can’t disagree with any of what’s already been posted. He started off promisingly in stints but in the latter part of the season he’s got worse.

Injuries have allowed him more game time than he probably would have got I think. However, I fully expect us not to take up any option to buy (which will definitely be blown out the water if Leeds go up due to wages by all accounts).

Don’t see any value in playing him ahead of permanent players in the last games.
