Saudi league now targeted he top refs

Bye then 👋👋

Let them go. Be another ref along to take their place.

Only problem will be if 15-20 go at once from one country. 2-3 from different countries - pfffftttt.

Fair enough, Saudi trying to build a decent league, no different to what Premier Ieague did, buy in the best available resource.

Must've missed when the premier League brought in a load of foreign refs at great expense. When did that happen?

Isn't there a massive shortage of officials - starting at grassroots because so many young refs are being attacked verbally and physically at games. If we lose the most experienced officials then it will be a big drain further down.

My own son packed in refereeing after being threatened by an adult when he was 15. I would normally accompany him to games but this was 2 minutes from our house and we were in the middle of decorating. He went on his own and a bloke threatened to fill him in.

This video is in the news today.

I was (litter picking) going along a path and heard an adult barking instructions to his son - I looked over the hedge and saw that it is was kids of about 6 or 7 years of age. The dad wasn't the coach, pity the coach and he wasn't alone in giving running "instructions" to his son, who presumably just wants to play football with his mates on a small pitch.

Before we know it there will be a referee transfer deadline window.

Over to you Alan Myers ( purple dildo swinging in and round his ear ) what’s happening at St George’s Park?

Alan “ well, we have been just told Anthony Taylor has arrived outside the Saudi Ref Hub in a rolls Royce, it’s a race against time. We will back to you in an hour to let you know if the deal sheets have went through in time”

Few weeks ago I saw an article where a young ref got punched and kicked by a parent of a child who's decision didn't go their way, the FA couldn't ban them from games because their games are played on public spaces. We're losing refs at an alarming rate because they're being abused, when they're just giving up their free time.
