And they haven’t even opened sales in the south stand or GRFZ yet eitherI don't believe the fall in sales is anything like as bad as we all feared.

No they'll be increased to cover the shortfall. With season ticket sales down do you think MFC with reduced the walk up prices ?or is this just wishful thinking.
No its just not understanding MFC thinkingWith season ticket sales down do you think MFC with reduced the walk up prices ?or is this just wishful thinking.
I doubt it, because then the club will worry that fans will be less likely to renew their season ticket in future. With season ticket sales down do you think MFC with reduced the walk up prices ?or is this just wishful thinking.
Yes, but on the back of a crackin season with exciting football and optimism at a real high.
That's not the current scenario as things stand and it is very hard to imagine us selling 3,000+ over the summer.
Yes the payment plan was a good idea, but it doesn’t alter the fact that the price increase hasn’t succeeded in what presumably was the intention i.e. covering rising expenses - in fact it’s had the opposite effect by the looks of it, and may well mean the team has less vocal support as a result of smaller crowds. Of course that could change if the club makes good signings and we’re getting favourable results, but it’s a big if at the moment.Am pleased that the new payment plan has been a success and also that the club have announced the results so quickly.
Obviously we all wish there had been a price freeze but am sure we are all relieved numbers have not dropped off a cliff.

If they have any sense? They will put them up slightly. With season ticket sales down do you think MFC with reduced the walk up prices ?or is this just wishful thinking.
Not really. The club has been consistent in prioritising ST renewals over walk up crowds.
I don't see them doing anything to change than in the next 5-10 seasons.
So this season we have 22,000 SC holders.
We now have 17,000. Those are the facts.
5,000 people have chosen not to renew.
That is not a success. It is a huge fall off and what the club deserve for the poor strategy and contemptuous communication.
You can dress it up however you want, but we currently start at 17k.
Of course the club could go on a spending spree that might appeal enough to fans to buy in and get a SC. It won't be that many.
So then we are left to hope that Carrick works magic with whatever he is served up and enough people will pay the insult matchday prices.
It is a massive shift from the goodwill and feel good factor there was 12 months ago.
Hats off Steve.
I didn’t think it would fall much. There was a lot of hot air spouted when the communication came out but time is a great healer.I don't believe the fall in sales is anything like as bad as we all feared.
It does feel like the club have scored a rather large own goal on this oneSo this season we have 22,000 SC holders.

They have dropped 5k SC holders. That is the fact.I think the new payment scheme probably tempted a lot of fans into renewing last minute.
I'll admit I was genuinely undecided until they announced the introduction of the payment scheme.
I just hope the club have the sense to offer the payment scheme as an option to new buyers. Dropping from 19k down to 17k actually isn't a massive drop really, but we managed to attract another 2k season ticket holders when the tickets came back on sale last year. We may be able to attract similar numbers, or even more if the club make the payment scheme available.
Yeah, unfortunately a lot of them might have been new buyers who didn't want to renew. Definitely feels like an own goal by the club not to freeze the prices, after we'd attracted 21k season ticket holders - the club should have done everything in their power to tempt all 21k season ticket holders into renewing. They have dropped 5k SC holders. That is the fact.
It isn’t a fact because the total amount sold will be higher than 17,000 by next august. So this season we have 22,000 SC holders.

Will you charge more for new buyers?I might have to charge more next season because of the rising cost of postage. Sad to say.
It doesn’t actually. earlybird sales are down less than 5% compared with last year. So even if you attribute all of that to the price increase, it’s revenue neutral. But this time last year we were pretty much nailed onto the playoffs with a genuine belief we might get into the Premier League. I’d say you’d be delusional not to attribute most of the reduction to that. In fact, it’s considerably lower than I would’ve expected.Doesn't tally with the argument MFC have to increase the SC cost to cover additional costs incurred by the club ..........because they have potentially lost £1000`s from those who haven't renewed. How are they going to cover that loss?
Double the price of fries and burgers?
No, and aren’t the Jeremiahs crying into their beer about it tonight? It’s a tough job pricing the tickets, particularly when the team has turned to ****, as it has a bit relative to last year. I think they’ve been vindicated.I don't believe the fall in sales is anything like as bad as we all feared.
