4am Sunday morning, Escena nightclub, Monterrey, Mexico. England had just drawn 0-0 in Italy to qualify for ‘98 World Cup earlier on day (the Saturday). Saw a gadge in a Boro league cup final (carling cup v Leicester?) top about 25 feet away and excitedly pointed him out to my then girlfriend. In turn she pointed out I was a stupid twaat and that it was a mirror. 🤦‍♂️. I’m afraid it goes without saying that I was terribly, terribly drunk.
 
In a bar in Linz Austria about 14 years ago and 4 lads walked in , 2 wearing Boro t shirts. Knew one of them, all Teesside lads contracting on the Blast Furnace out there.
