Seeing fellow fans

It's not just you.

I saw a lad wearing a Boro top at Victorious Festival (Pompey/Southsea) last year.

He was about 50 metres away from me. I had the urge to go and speak to him but was with my then girlfriend who found it weird that I'd speak to 'random' people when we were out, so I didn't.

We split up about a week later after 15 months.

The day after we knocked Man United out of the FA Cup under Wilder I opened the blinds and there was a lad trimming his hedge in the house over the road from mine… wearing a Boro away shirt. This is in south-east London. There’s also a bloke who walks his dog in the park around the corner and nine times out of 10 he’ll be wearing his Boro coat. We are everywhere.

I was at a pedestrian crossing near Martin place in Sydney about 15 years ago and the bloke stood next to me had the Boro badge (1986 version) tattooed on his ankle.

Rude not to say hello I thought.

Can’t remember the conversation.

And no I don’t have a fetish about blokes ankles before anyone starts….

Now thats a spot!!

Glastonbury Festival 2013 (poss 14) saw an impeccably dressed chap in a Boro shirt and exchanged "Red Army" chants as we passed.

Seen a local lad in Essaouira (Moroc)wearing a Boro top, I ended up playing 5 a side with him and his mates on the beach, turned out he got his top from a visiting Boro fan.

New York, got in the lift of our hotel and lad with Boro top, had a quick chat with him and he said he had just speaking to another Boro lad from Stockton in time square…

Ah now that's one thing I thought wouldn't be a thing. The advantage of supporting Boro is if you see someone in a shirt you can almost guarantee they are from Boro. If you see a scouse shirt or citeh you can never be sure

Me and my son were sat in Barbers in Hertfordshire and a young kid came in wearing a Boro top (with his Dad). They were quite surprised when we greeted them with "C'mon the Boro!"

Thinking about it at that point the majority of the barbers shop were Boro fans.

Whereabouts in Hertfordshire, there's a few of us in the Hitchin area.

I was sat at my desk working last summer, and my study looks out onto the road outside, and a lad walked past in a Boro top and disappeared into the estate behind our house. Kept my eye out for him ever since but never spotted him again.

However met Boro fans in places as far and wide as San Francisco, Dublin, New York, Ibiza and Egypt.

I bet she was a Southerner ? I think people south of Manchester (approx) really don't get it. I'm the same, if I see a Boro shirt anywhere in the world I am compelled to go and speak to my kinship(!)
with genuine affection....
likewise, if I see someone with a newcastle shirt on I try to comment on how the material of the shirt must irritate their skin ? And that a Middlesbrough shirt feels beautiful when wearing it....if they want to give it a try... :ROFLMAO:

I walked by a guy in a Boro shirt in peru, was too scared to even do the Boro nod, god knows why. Then in Mumbai a young lad, said up to Boro, then proceed with he hates Chelsea.
I dished out a few of my Boro shirts when i was in Peru (y)
