Serious question who would replace Carrick?

That is why we need to back him and hope he turns it around.

Potter is unrealistic and Nathan Jones dear me.
Yes he does. What he needs to do is drop silvera young raw, not championship level into the u21s to develop which is what he should be go back to basics. Get mcgree forss and jones behind latthe who can’t finish his dinner but has shown promise. That with the new left back hackney/obrien and howson with smith back will keep us competive it will have us a decent championship side no more not promotion material then January we would need some big big signings to push us over the line in the top 6 drop engles rogers and silvera who are simply not good enough for forss mcgree and the new lad. Smith for mcscare that would have us competing and then mr Scott would have to pull the pugs to get us the players needed to kick on another archer like signing will it happen probably not but it’s the only way we save the season

Bloke in the social saying we should move heaven and earth to get Graham Potter 😂 Absolutely 0 chance.

It’s been a recurring theme with the last three managers so I don’t think it’s them that the problem. I’d like Carrick to stay and put it right. But if he left, I’d love Liam Rosenior.
We need carrick we will not get better. It’s nothing to do with the manager. If we keep signing **** then it’ll be same merry go round.

More chance of Harry Potter

No good changing the manager when the squad is this weak. It’s the recruitment team that needs replacing as the idea of signing international unknowns from minor leagues is not going to work. Yes it isn’t so easy, and more costly, to sign good quality championship players but it’s what is needed in my opinion.

So why create the post and ask the inane question in the first place?

Seriously, if you are on a fishing trip your bait is sh!te.

UTB, we will overcome
I am not fishing we have not won since April in the league.

Give your head a shake weemoby.

The whole forum is asking the question how long but nobody has asked who would replace him.

A proper football man and part of the British managers lunch club. Pullis, Sparky, Pardew, Big Sam, Big Brucey, Smac and Casper. Etc.

History suggests the club will yo-yo again from a young progressive manager to another dinosaur, so I'd imagine Bruce, Big Sam or Pearson are the most likely that we haven't yet had from that pool.

Fully behind Carrick, I pray Gibson is, as October is up next and its his usual scapegoat month

More chance of Harry Potter than Graham

Rosenior will be in a better place than Boro were Carrick to leave.

Robins is a decent coach, but wedded to Coventry

We could try and experiment to see if Didier Digard could last longer as a manager than player I suppose.

My ideal scenario is Gibson rights his debt off, we are then bought by Jim Ratcliffe who keeps Carrick as manager and invests £100M on Boro to get us up then a further £500M to keep us up and challenge for honours once again. I’ve emailed him with the challenge, but as yet, its unread.

We all know it’s going to be Woodgate

I think the fan base would rightly turn on Gibson if it is too .

I feel like a broken record to last season, as I kept explaining the manager isn’t the problem . We’re essentially replacing the manager every season now and mimicking Watford . The outcome is always the same . It’s F***ing Gibson , and it always was. Why is replacing the manager still causing the same trend ?

The trend is we start **** and worry about relegation . We change the manager and have a big recovery in form . Then the next season we start **** again , sack the manager and the pattern repeats again . This has happened under woodgate , Warnock , wilder and now Carrick . Except we never had a good spell under woodgate , but fans were begging Gibson not to appoint him, yet he did
