It gets betterStarted watching this last night based upon a french Gem dealer in Thailand drugging young tourists - very sinister, gripping viewing two episodes in.
It's very good, end of episode 3 is probably the most tense moment.
My only criticism is that the portraying of Charles Sobhraj (Alain) I wasn't sure about. He certainly came across as sinister and looked the part but not charming in a way that would draw in his victims like the real killer did (who was by all accounts quite witty and engaging).
I'd agree with this, he came across a sleazy and chilling from the outset, certainly nothing to inspire the blind loyalty he received.
