It was once thoughIt is not the same mate.
Nope.. never.It was once though
Dead right Jedi.btw rob I hope you do take this further and relay to the club just how strongly fans feel as how do you explain that today to young kids who were there.
It’s loud dnd and it was clear.
As I say it relates to dark time then a person I don’t call them doctors from Newcastle and sunlun besmirched this area and were struck off due to it.Dead right Jedi.
It's gone on for too long and neither Club nor police, or stewards appear to have done anything about it, ever.
It's not banter, it's flippin criminal.
Woe betide anyone in that ground, who has ever been a victim, in any way whatsoever, of abuse of any kind: how does it make them feel hearing 2000 [mostly] blokes, spouting that filth, watching nothing being done about it?
A joke is a joke, but this has never been a joke, and it's never been dealt with by those with the authority to do something about it.
Was sang throughout the recent Millwall and Chelsea game by our fans and at every other London game in recent memoryThe Chelsea 'song' etc have been outlawed. So not sure how songs about this subject isn't every bit as bad. Do the police care? You sing certain songs and you'd be kicked out in a flash. This has to be in that threshold.
This is 100% correct. This issue is not like racism or homophobia, which are abhorrent and festering social malignancies that still hold people back to this day. Malignancies that must be tackled at every turn to ensure equality for all.Unless you want to reduce racism to just name calling.. which it isn’t.
I certainly didn’t I’m highlighting that change can be made as these things were once seen as intrinsic as well. But I don’t think anyone has really likened this issue to either of those issues, and if somebody did, it would be to the detriment of the point here.
Where do you get your info from neither Doctor was struck off and continued as Doctors to this day. In fact they both continued to claim they where right. A Horrible time for this area and something we are still tarred with 30 years later. As I say it relates to dark time then a person I don’t call them doctors from Newcastle and sunlun besmirched this area and were struck off due to it.

We should deal with the issues which we can effect change.. the rest will follow. That “point”, in my opinion, is this: chanting about horrific crimes or social events involving grievous harm to innocent people diminishes the importance of these things, potentially to the point of trivialisation. Not only that, but it can be harmful to those who are victims of the aforementioned events.
In this particular event, not only does the chanting accuse large swathes of innocent people of being child abusers, or suggest that child abuse is a topic for “banter”, it does so on a false premise. The Cleveland child abuse scandal is now well understood to have been based on incorrect and naive diagnoses, and ultimately caused harm to the parents and children involved.
So in my opinion, I think we should be taking action against fans who are chanting vile songs like what happened today.
In addition, just because we have not effectively dealt with sections of our own support who also sing vile songs does not mean we should not deal with other issues. Dealing with vile chanting should not be partisan, and I hope anyone involved in such stuff is banned by our football club and others.
I stand corrected I thought she was struck off after tried the same stunt in Scotland.Where do you get your info from neither Doctor was struck off and continued as Doctors to this day. In fact they both continued to claim they where right. A Horrible time for this area and something we are still tarred with 30 years later.
They certainly aren't the only ones. Huddersfield fans were doing it last season and Leeds and Newcastle still do it.They sing it all the time. I've never heard them getting punished for it. They are the only idiots who keep signing those songs. We had it from plenty of teams 'back in the day'.
The Chelsea 'song' etc have been outlawed. So not sure how songs about this subject isn't every bit as bad. Do the police care? You sing certain songs and you'd be kicked out in a flash. This has to be in that threshold.
The paedo stuff isnt name calling, it's based on an event which happened to people, to families and it destroyed some of those families. Can you imagine having your children removed from your care for a false accusation/test an being branded a child abuser. Imagine being a child and that happening. It's fu king awful and some scum 30 years later still sing about it because they think it's funny. Trauma isn't funny.Nope.. never.

Nobody is defending the behaviour.. there are a few that can have a sensible response tho rather than foaming at the mouth and completely losing the plot.Small surprise that the usual suspect is going out of his way to defend abhorrent fan behaviour.
I think your right, I think it was an over reaction in my part to 'froth at the mouth' because my 10 and 11 year old daughters asked why they were singing "what's it like to shag your kids". Let's just put up with it for another 40 years.I know, everyone knows..
