I don't get how this is more than the government is doing ? This will go to only 0.5 percent of Brit gas customers from their customer base of 7.5m . That's about 350 each to 30,000 customers .
The government has already committed 150 to 20m households(council tax band qualifiation) plus 400 to come in the Oct to Mar months to each of 27m households in UK. Plus all pensioners who already get winter fuel payment are getting 300 more for each household. All of that added is about 22 billion and I haven't included those who are getting an extra 650 through the benefits system or those that are getting 150 more through some disability qualification
