Former attorney general, "parliament is entitled to reverse a decision by the courts," and then in the next breath "The right to go to court in an extreme case is part of the British constitution that the Conservative party has long defended"
How do people listen to this duplicitous bull and agreee with it, people either hav rights or they don't, we have judicial oversight or we don't.
The most worrying part for me is the first bit, parliament having the right to reverse judicial decisions, going back to the fascism thread yesterday (or day before) this just adds weight to that argument, they are using rhetoric to normalise the destruction of democratic process and testing the water for public opinion on a more authoritarian style of governance.
Cue the usual suspects that think its ok because its just limited to a subject they have a visceral opinion on, and of course they wil stop there.
As a poster said the other day, the slide to fascism is nearly complete!
