Boro have no rivals and are insignificant as repeated by the deckchairs up the road, dip in form, then a Newcastle cup win will be the icing on the cake.
 
It would be a return to the late nineties, Sky driven jizzfest of 'The Entertainers', 'Everybodys second favourite team' and Keys and Gray spaffing themselves into a coma every time Ginola got the ball.

A winning goal from Rashford and we'll be spared the hour long Tyne Tees special that will be repeated every year.
 
If Rashford is fit, then I don't see anything but a Utd (there's only one Utd) win.

ETH has done an unbelievable job since he's come in.

He's rid the club of the cancer that was killing them and now has them playing some very good football, whilst churning out big results.

I think they could be a force next season if he gets the players he wants (GK, De Jong & a striker).
 
One of my best friends is a proper Geordie and he’s actually a normal football fan. Even takes the mick out of the way his own fans go on…. Him and his family are genuinely lovely people and I like to see him and his kids happy and doing well in life.

I hope Manure absolutely batter them.

Who will win the Battle for Trafalgar Square? Newcastle fans, I don't think Man Utd fans will be that bothered.
I didn't realise it was televised.

Yeah, because MFC themselves aren't trying, no need as we've got that one in the cabinet. The club need that Newcastle trophy to give them incentive to win another.
 
hate man utd, so either way is a win win for me, but then I don't work with a bunch of geordies either so only have to listen to people I know on facebook brag about it lol

- Our rival.

- Owned by a horrific regime that will use any win as an excuse to sportswash.

- Wall to wall endless coverage if they win, both locally and nationally.

- Means Middlesbrough are no longer the only team in the North East to win a major trophy in the last 50 years.

If Man United win, and it'll drop off the news cycle in a few weeks and fade away, and we can enjoy Geordie failure.
 
I'd been thinking I wouldn't mind the idea of Newcastle winning, because it will devastate the Mackems but now that it's just around the corner I'm thinking I can't bring myself to support them, so come on Man U.
