Some people on here

Don't you start too mate. As I said above I love everybody on here. Even you.
I'm with you bumface.
I love everybody on here too. We are all Boro through and through and that makes you all brothers and family to me.
I know that family can have fights and disagreements and we all have differing points of view. But surely we can
have debates and keep dignity by respecting others thoughts without it always coming to this. No?

Well in essence yes but do you think ST has any respect for anyone but himself ?
I think not.

With respect HR,
One need only have a look around the board to find all the likes and thumbs up that ST has dished out to find the answer to that question.

He is a person who is obviously disturbed and concerned about his homeland and its future and often says so.
Many on here tire of this and see him as " flogging a dead horse".
The irony is that with their spiteful responses, they are guilty of the same.

Personally, I don't have it within me to dislike or disrespect anyone with such conviction and perseverance over such matters.

I think that it would be wonderful not only for ourselves but also for fans of other clubs that venture on this forum to find that
we are not inbred and that we are a welcoming and tolerant bunch that invites open and healthy debate without slur or insult.

We here, could all start by reading the actual words posted rather than by whom.

Pipe dream? Maybe, but it is not beyond us as we only have to show a little more respect to one another.

I agree with most of that. I'm guilty of getting angry about politics on here sometimes but I try to only insult the politicians themselves who are never likely to read this board rather than slag off other people who do post on here. It doesn't always work because I'm not a saint. And I do my best to avoid those threads now because I don't want to fall out with people on here.

I avoid them too, in fact I never post a reply but always read them with interest.
I don't live in the UK and have worked my entire life and paid my taxes in Australia and feel that it's not my place to offer my opinion.
Having said that, I certainly wouldn't have voted for brexit but they are for selfish reasons.
I never applied for Oz citizenship and am simply a resident even though I have lived here for over fifty years.
I couldn't bring myself to relinquish my British ( EU ) passport and unlike my Oz born wife who had to apply for visas, I was free to enter
almost anywhere on the planet.
Unlike some of my old school pals back in England who are blue collar workers voted Tory for no other reason than they weren't happy
living in a country that was " being overtaken by foreigners ". Sad but true.

With respect RB the highlighted sections of your post are exactly the issues a number of posters have with ST. If he would adhere to those standards I venture that there would be less criticism levelled his way.

I think a difference of opinions is a good thing in general and posts are the lifeblood of the board.

We all get something wrong at some time if we post regularly. I have put my hand up at times when others have shown I was incorrect.

What is wrong is when people are disrespectful or seem to think they know why others have posted.

Some posters seem to pigeon hole others too easily, especially on politics.

This is an easy one to fix. Don't insult. St does it all the time, people give him some back. It's how stuff works on here. Be respectful and you have no problems.

"welcoming and tolerant"

Why does he have such a lot on his ignore list ? - including me and Im such a nice bloke

He is neither welcoming nor tolerant - you obviously haven't seen that long list of insults he has used someone posted recently including his scumbags remark to those that don't agree with him.

Been said many times but he has no association with football or Boro. Just here to moan about Brexit.

I get that guys, I really do. But when so many throw mud around it's only natural that some will come back.
I guess that it's like the chicken and the egg and what came first ?

My words aren't solely aimed at those that criticise ST, they were also aimed at others that do none other than throw
insults at other posters.

If anyone thinks that a poster is wrong or misinformed, at least use some intellect and be constructive and bring some valid points
to the debate rather than simply insulting the poster.

If you're unable to do that and insults are the only thing in your armoury, then I think it's better to say nothing at all, as one is only
embarrassing themselves and even strengthening the argument of the one that's being insulted.

Peace to all

I think they're is enough people that agree it's OK to insult leave voters so St gets an easy pass despite some of his comments being horrendous. This week he has accused me of having mental health problems. Whilst that doesn't bother me it really does diminish the struggle of people who do suffer and there are some on this board. That for me was unforgivable and its probably a mark of the man, regardless of how he voted.
