Sprouts?

Off to Goa over Christmas and even there there’s places that do a decent Christmas Dinner, unspoilt by sprouts.

I hated sprouts as a kid but those werr just plain boiled ones. Now for Christmas dinner I always do a tray of them which are cooked with bacon, garlic, honey and mustard and chucked in the air fryer and it's immense

I love them but they are absolutely inedible after being cooked from frozen. Is this where they get their bad reputation from?

Had some last Sunday
Chopped in half then fired in garlic, red wine, lemon juice and miso

Turn them after around 7 mins when the bottom half has nicely caramelised

Never ever boil them, or any veg for that matter - it ruins them. Roast them, there are a multitude of ways to do them if you do a little research - they are sweet, delicious, and incredibly good for you, like any cruciferous vegetables

One of my favourite comfort meals is a big plate of mash, covered in dozens of Brussles, then lashings of delicious, cheesy, bechamel sauce to cover the lot. Ohhh, joy of joys....
It's all a matter of taste really...and I have impeccable taste so there!!!
Oh, and the key with Brussels is to steam em rather than boil em, or roast them

Just arrived back from alicante and they were available every morning at the breakfast fry up buffet. Those and broad beans. Get in my belly.
