Michelle Obama would wipe the floor with Trump. In fact the majority of Democratic candidates would. The one who probably won’t is Biden. Believing this election will be fought on political values and achievements is not credible. If it was Trump wouldn’t even be a candidate. His court cases are badges of honour to him. He is perfectly capable of lying his way into power. That’s why the polls are showing what they are.

Trump will not win the floating voters in the key states and that’s what this is about. Yeah the mentalists in Texas, Oklahoma and Alabama will vote him in, because he says he likes god and has the right party behind him. But that’s not where it’s won and lost. The swing voters in the swing states will vote Biden to keep him out and that’ll be enough
 
Trump is now $83.3m out of pocket thanks to a jury of his peers, not a Democrat judge or Biden or a deep state operative.
This follows on from the initial $5m she won in the first trial thanks to a jury of Trump's peers.
All of his federal and state court cases have gone to a Grand Jury and in each case, typical American voters who've been asked to serve on those juries have found evidence to proceed with the cases.
When normal people hear the facts they see Trump for what he is and his devoted acolytes won't be enough to win the White House.
His NY civil fraud trial might be resolved in the coming week to further add to his financial punishments so that will make Trump feel more hard done by and his overwhelming sense of self entitlement will loosen his jaw and he'll dig himself in deeper.

At which point I’m sure he’ll come out and claim it’s further proof of a ‘Biden directed witch hunt’.
I wonder at what point, if any, can he be pulled up legally to put up or shut up re the ridiculous Biden led witch hunt claims? I guess Biden won’t want to be embroiled in any of that circus but for how long can you openly, repeatedly accuse a President of corruption and abusing their power over the legal system, before you are punished for doing so?
I’ve no idea if it’s even possible, but surely the mountains of evidence of his repeated, fantastical claims should be enough to bankrupt him for good and finish him forever, if he were ever sued for libel/slander? It would probably play into his ‘victim’ role playing hand, I guess.
 
The USA are heading toward civil war, I feel. For that reason alone, we should all hope that Trump is no where near the whitehouse.

My BIL lives, works and is married to a US citizen and has 2 adult kids. They all believe that Trump will be the next president despite the multiple legal challenges he has. To be clear they are not Trump supporters.

It was fun laughing at them last year when they visited, but it won't remain a laughing matter should he win the next presidential election.
 
The truth is no one knows it’s definitely a scary proposition to seen that imbecile in power again but the reality it doesn’t take alot of votes in key swing states to sway the us election
 
This is a fascinating thread. However, I’m no closer to knowing who will be in power, Trump or Biden. I’ll read one post and think, “Yeah that makes sense,” then read another which is totally odds and think exactly the same!🤷‍♂️

What I do know however is that I want Trump no where near the White House.

How would a civil war work in the USA? Would Texas decide they were going to be their own country or something or would people be shooting each other in NYC?

Doesn't need to be state against state, does it? Maga nuts tend to carry guns. If you deploy the National Gurad, that's civil war. The USA came close at the last election. It just needs enough trump supporters to mobalise.

As a point of order, it's not really true that Texas can declare independence.

I worked for a Texan based company and came across the separist group when they had a street stall in San Antonio. They maintained that the UK had never rescinded its recognition of the Republic of Texas.

Maybe they can reclaim their embassy in St James's?

When you say Civil War I imagined it would be the whole country facing off against each other. A load of MAGA nutters getting shot up by the Nat Guard wouldn’t be that. But that may well be the definition I suppose.
 
None of these things are moving the betting though. Trump is guaranteed to be the Republican nominee at odds of 1/50 and Republicans are still favourites to win. All this talk of "can't happen" seems to go against the bookies and unless the bookies have decided they are in the business of giving away money then I am going to assume it is a very real possibility that he will be President.

The betting is close so it's obviously not going to be clear who will get it because it only takes small swings but it's close enough to be possible.

If you think it's impossible that Trump can win then you can some money off the bookies. 11/10 for a Democrat victory or 7/4 if you are confident Biden will be the Dem nominee.

Not really sure of the definition so I looked it up. It's one organised group fighting another organised group within one country. Nothern Ireland would qualify as would a MAGA militia fighting against us forces.
