I’d be using the speculation to try and get assurances about transfer funds etc in the summer, but if there is something in it and he genuinely wants to go then I’d just show him the door as anyone who goes to Burnley has zero ambition.
Keep them up and get no money to spend or get relegated, get promoted and still no money to spend.
Bournemouth or Fulham will be looking for new managers early season I’d be waiting for one of them where at least they’re desirable locations and you have a chance of spending money and building something.

He was asked only a couple of days ago and said he's not interested in it. That really should be the end of it, as far as I'm concerned.

I think it’s a fair question, which should have been dealt with on a non match day. I can understand him not wanting to ‘miss speak” while the blood is still pumping as a season hits the buffers. Like I say I think something is going on. He’ll be one of a few nabes in their list

Yeah I didn't think there was even a small chance of him leaving but after reading that it doesn't look great. I'd be absolutely gutted.

Same here I will probably look a fool for earlier comments saying no chance he’s going but looks like he’s off to me. I would go for Farke in the summer if he goes

How hard is it to say "I'm not interested". There's nothing wrong with the question unless you are considering the role. It would probably make sense why the players seemed very rattled from the off today.
I would 100% be expecting him to say at the very least "there's nothing in it, next question" if there really was nothing in it. He seemed to be trying everything he could to keep his options open whilst being able to deny it Burnley don't make a move. I hope he's just trying to use the link to get Gibson to make assurances about funds for his players in the summer.
