Still no denial from Wilder

Yeah I didn't think there was even a small chance of him leaving but after reading that it doesn't look great. I'd be absolutely gutted.
Its not like were loosing someone like Pep, Wilder is a good championship manager but its not like we couldnt get a replacement

I'm not sure where all this speculation is coming from? Hasnt he already said he's not interested in it?
Sky Sports reported that but every time he's been asked in a press conference he's avoided the question. That's probably why the speculation isn't going away.

If I was him…

I’d wait to see what happened to them and I’d ask Gibson what transfer assurances we had for next season. If Burnley stay up I’d leave, if they went down and Middlesbrough were working on a budget, I’d leave.

I think he's the best manager we've had in a long, long time, I think he's more than just a good Championship manager. We could get a replacement if we got it absolutely bang on but the club have shown more often than not that they don't get it right.

Well, I am less than impressed with his answer to the question. That is twice he has failed to nip it in the bud. I hoped he was a gentleman, a man of honour, ambitious. If his head has been turned by Burnley, then I hope he is on a 3 yr deal and we get some compo. I am not convinced he will go, but football is a murky world and I’ll bet Burnley will have been sounding a few possible managers out via their agents.

Gibson sacked Monk for talking to Swansea without permission, McClaren was openly courting Newcastle back in the day, Gibson will be asking questions and will ensure the right thing is done for the football club, not for Chris Wilder. Any official approach would have to go through Gibson, but the lack of a denial is a worry.

It’s clear he thinks mark drury is an **** he doesn’t really hid it it does he.

Drury said stop the rot the other week and wilder took exception to that term.

Can’t believe he’s been tempted by F***ing Burnley

he is ambitious ... even if burnley come down they will have parachute payments which mean more dosh to get the players he wants and get back to the premier... i can see him going if asked...

They know the budget next season already. They are stepping up in a sensible manner and to a slightly higher wage level that has been carefullly arrived at. They are looking at targets on this higher budget.

I'll be gutted if he leaves, and incredibly disappointed in him.

But it's almost even more annoying if he's staying as there'll always be the suspicion that he wanted to leave now.

Yeah he hasn’t done himself any favours if he’s staying. I think he’s going.

Me neither, especially when they are servicing a huge loan to buy the club at 12% interest. If they come down, as I think they will, they will be using a fair chunk of their parachute money to service debt not the squad. Going there is madness. I could see it if an interim kept them up and him go in the summer, but then were he to do that, he gets filed under see Steve Bruce in my eyes.

I still don’t think he will go, but something is clearly not right.
