A few United fans I know have been saying they’re furious with the club for signing him. Can’t say I understand that. I know he didn’t have a great season but it’s not as if he’s the worst player ever, imho at least.

Speaking of West Ham, who could forget that dodgy as fck transfer invoving Tevez and Mascherano in their primes?
I remember seeing cockneys (proper ones) on SSN saying West Ham would be getting in the Champions League etc. As it turned out, Mascherano barely played, and they narrowly avoided relegation after not having ever properly owned Tevez (who scored on the final day).

Didn't someone pretending to be George Weah's cousin get signed by Southampton. Think Souness was manager and was forced into playing him. Think he got hooked after about 20 mins.
Fabio, Emerson's cousin, was also a strange one. Did well in the one game he played though, against Huddersfield if I remember correctly.

Ali Dia, also played for Blyth Spartans.
Same stunt was pulled on Tony Pulis but he was too shrewd for them and he didn't put him in the Gillingham team.

It's a really good signing for me. He's not spectacular but is a really intelligent team player. A million miles from dreadful.

I just haven’t seen it. Runs around a lot, tries Hollywood balls that don’t come off, doesn’t really do much else.
