Strange transfers ...

It's a slightly odd move. I'd imagine he could have had the pick of any prem club outside of maybe the top 2-3.

The likes of Spurs and even the Mags would have been a decent move. Then again he maybe had no interest in staying in this country.

A player of his ability would have a lot of negotiating power as a free agent.

I'm not sure Turkey would be most players choice of destination. Yet fairplay for trying something new and outside his comfort zone.

I can understand a move abroad to a CL team, he's probably not going to get any better than Palace in EPL at his age and with a bit of a dodgy fitness record and as for the United move he was a kid and by all accounts didn't get the best of support from the management team

David Moyes' daughter made him forget all about home.
Then he was not there all of a sudden.

"I remember tweeting something about it saying 'silly rumours' because it was getting too much, so I had to say something myself and then I remember the club media messaging me saying 'you shouldn't have done that, you shouldn't have done this' and I'm thinking 'you haven't helped me.'

"I'm here by myself, struggling because people are telling me I've slept with the manager's daughter and that's why you're not playing me.

"The funny thing is, it's carried on for so long I felt like, is the manager not going to come and have a word with me over this?
"That's how I felt and I'm thinking this is ridiculous man. Up to this day, I still get people that think that's true. I've never even met his daughter." - ©️ W.Zaha.

Well, I mean, that's clearly not the case otherwise he wouldn't be signing for Galatasaray.

I imagine he thought he would have had plenty of offers from clubs like that and there's been little interest so he's settled for Galatasaray.

He was offered 10M per year to stay at palace, odd but he obviously has had enough of mid table finishes, surprised he didn’t fancy a crack at Italy as there’s a couple of English players doing ok over there.

Strange transfers?

I think this was the strangest rub-on transfer I had as a kid, watch out Bazooka Joe, here's your French Cousin Lucky Luke.images.jpeg
