Yeah , I get the time period & everything , but it just seems a bit daft against the rest of the storyline . Maybe a bit of light relief, but doesn't quite work for me.Russian plot - it was set in the 1980's height of the cold war - that would have very much been at the forefront of peoples thoughts .. I get the whole Russian thing.
ST, so far excellent.
Yeah and I imagine it will play a bigger role in part two when that comes out next month.Surely the russian thing is integral to the whole story. It has been building throughout each series.
Definitely. Look at the origins of Vecnah (spelling is probably off). I never saw that coming and that was a massive throwback twist.Surely the russian thing is integral to the whole story. It has been building throughout each series.
The way they executed that reveal was incredible.Definitely. Look at the origins of Vecnah (spelling is probably off). I never saw that coming and that was a massive throwback twist.
Agreed. The way they executed that reveal was incredible.
Loose ends tied up in the next (and final) season in 2024. The particles in the Russian prison will be connected to Will somehow. I'm almost certain (if my theory is correct).Watched the last episode tonight, still don’t understand the relevance of the Russian plot to the storyline. Also why did Mike, Eleven, etc etc not mention their own stories to the rest of the group on their return to Hawkins …such as saving Max?
2 minutes 40 seconds of Wayne and I'm hooked. What a start. Thanks for the tipYes superb. As is The Boys and also while I am at it Wayne on Amazon Prime. That is as good as both series mentioned.
That's what I like about the series as a whole. I can't remember one 'filler' episode. Each episode has a critical part to play in the overal story. That last episode of S4 is one of the best things I've ever seen on TV! Once it started it just never let up!
What about the Russian subplot? Might turn out to have a part to play but there’s no way it needed this many screen hoursThat's what I like about the series as a whole. I can't remember one 'filler' episode. Each episode has a critical part to play in the overal story.
Compared to the likes of Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad, which for the record are my two all time favourite TV series', both of them have plenty of filler episodes throughout their respective seasons.
I'd disagree. Purely from a human interest perspective it was nice to see Hopper come to the realisation that despite all the tragedy that he thought he'd inflicted on those who had loved him, he still had lots to live for. What about the Russian subplot? As mentioned before, I believe the particles, Will and the mind flayer from season 2 are all connected. Plus as Dood mentioned, Hopper is the closest thing 11 has to an actual family, his capture and escape and the way he's battled his own demons will play a massive part in the final season. What about the Russian subplot?
