After signing Azaz, assuming Ayling gets confirmed. Surely the focus will now shift to bringing in a striker.

Who have we’ve been linked with?

Anyone any ideas of who we could/should go for realistically?

Anyone ITK?

Heard any rumours?
 
There's a striker in the Serbian league called Milos Lukovic... Probably unrealistic, but he's 18 - captained his team since he was 16 - 11 goals so far this season, 17 last season.
 
It's easy to say aim higher but buying big strikers has rarely worked for us. We need to take risks - the Blackburn lad on 16 goals cost them £2m from Peterborough. Morgan Whittaker cost Plymouth £1m. Summerville is rumoured to have cost Leeds £1.5m - just 3 of the top 10 goalscorers in the champo plus Jonathan rowe a Norwich youth product and Jack Clarke won't have cost the earth when the Mackems signed him

It was reported as upto 10million including add ons I expect they’d have to get promoted to pay the full whack. They probably paid between 3.5 and 5 upfront. That said spurs apparently have a 50% sell on clause on anything over what Sunderland have paid. Which hints that the upfront payment was likely quite low.

If you look at Sunderland spending over the last few seasons I even think around £3m is pushing it.

Hopefully you're right about the sell on clause, it would be nice to see him leave for pennies this month!
 
We want someone to hit the ground running and who will become a focal point for our created chances and will be converting them to goals. Hopefully we can get someone who is not cup tied and I don't care if they are young or old,, I would prefer a class player who is not getting game time and will come to us on loan who stands a reasonable chance of picking up a winners medal. I'm not asking for much🤷🏻‍♂️.

Just someone who is good straight away and will more than likely get us automatically promoted..
