Strongest Line-Up

Suppose until we see Sporar bit difficult to see how he fits in. Can he play as a target man? Or is he more of a poacher?

Could we potentially see a Karanka play off season type line up? A 442 masquerading as a 4231 with Sporar in the Vossen number 10/second striker role playing off Uche?

Crooks has to be in the team, regardless of formation, he is class. I'd even put him in Howsons position

I think it's more of a fitness thing - he's a big lad and putting himself about for 60-70 minutes is probably hard work

Assuming the new lad is decent enough, then having either of them coming off the bench for the final 30 minutes is a nice prospect - imagine Uche pushing around defenders who are already tired if we're needing a goal? Last thing they'd want to see coming off the bench

Yeah, I think the squad suits 433 more than anything and I'd definitely have him the midfield 3. I suspect we won't be playing Uche and Sporar together unless we're chasing a game anyway.

That said Warnock is full of surprises, so I could be way off.

I get what you are saying but if I was a big burly centre half, I'd much rather wrestle with Ikpeazu rather than try and keep up with Jones!

Alternatively, Uche starts and batters the CB for 60 minutes, then we bring on the pacier guys - all good options to have

Can also mix it up, if Uche has the ability to hold it up and bring people into play

Having a player who can only last 60 mins of a match though is a bad move as you are going to have to use one sub a lot on him every game

Interesting to see Payero barely mentioned. We've paid £6million for him. He's probably our highest paid player.

Hard to say what our best 11 is without seeing Payero and the new lads play so like someone said I'd give it a month yet.

The best players in positions we have atm are a back 4 of Djksteel/Mcnair/Fry/Bola and wide players in Jones and Tav and our best formation currently is 4231. Think your looking at one up top to accommodate them and play with a 10 behind....presumably Crooks or Payero.

Interestingly both Uche and Sporar are on record as saying they prefer playing in a two.

Remains to be seen how the new lads integrate and where theyll play but think we nowhave a squad that can offer different things and change games.

I don't understand letting spence and Morsy go as leaves us thin if injuries though don't see either as first teamers, all be it we look so much better with mcnair at the back which and I hope he sticks with.
 
You're only as good as your last game.
The strongest line-up should be decided on form in recent games and training.

JLS and Sporar will have very limited, if any, time with the rest of the squad before our next game, so unless we have illness or injuries, I'd be surprised to see either starting.
 
Payero our highest paid player, do you reckon?

I’d be surprised. Young project-y players coming from a smaller league it’s usually a high fee but low wages, an average Champo salary would dwarf the Argentinian league. I guess you look at the other clubs in for him and what we’d have to offer to trump them.

Strikers are usually the highest paid players because they’re the hardest to find, so I’d be surprised if it wasn’t Sporar, especially coming from a big club like Sporting. Or maybe someone like Howson or Fry.

All guesswork though, who knows.
