Sunak’s press conference

Sounds like all bluster and lies to me (again).

No detail as to the airports and ‘commercial airlines’ that have apparently agreed to do the flights.

500 officials ready to escort 200 asylum seekers to Rwanda…WTF?

Blaming Labour Lords for delay when the Tories have a HoL majority.

By the way, if any commercial airline has agreed to this it’s a stupid decision. Reputationally, there will be no coming back from that.

If he manages to get a couple of flights off then that gives him a window of a couple of months to have the election before it becomes apparent that he boats are still coming.

Yeah I was wondering myself what he is going to do when it becomes apparent, and it will, that the ability to deport 200 people will have no impact on the thousands arriving.

I was going to put a laughing emoji, then it struck me that this is not beyond the realms of possibility.
Yes I am 100% expecting a headline article in the Gazette:

"Ben tells PM - I Will Get The Rwanda Flights Off The Ground"

Teesside Mayor Ben T Houtchen has told Rishi Sunak he will make Teesside Airport available to fly illegal immigrants to Rwanda by chartering aeroplanes from MusgraveAir and using security staff from CorneyGeezers.

It starting to feel like Election season.

Suddenly having a go at poor and sick people (that are mainly lazy and feckless), asylum seekers (looking to use the our benefits system and free NHS).

Tomorrow, it will be Trade Unions

The Next Day the Labour Party is full of anti-semites.

He might not even be in charge by the time they take off. After the hopefull bloodbath on May 2nd I’m sure the Tory RWNJs will be challenging his position. I’m hoping (foolishly probably) that he throws a strop and says ‘screw you Suzie’ and calls a snap GE, so he can **** off to the states and lose his position to a GE rather than be ousted by his own party.
I’m really really looking forward to May 2nd. Hopefully the public will give them the absolute kicking they so richly deserve.

I do like how absolutely rubbish these Tories are.

One of their achievements heralded by Andrew Mitchell this morning is that Rwanda is safer than London.

Although saying that, he was supporting a policy that had been declared as a waste of time, by some guy called Andrew Mitchell.

This morning Sueknack’s claims that Labour are the problem in HoL, although the Tories have an inbuilt majority. Tory peers are also voting against it in numbers. One stumbling block is they keep insisting that Rwanda is deemed a ‘safe country’ by an independent panel. Not just by the UK government.

That's not actually true; the Tories are the biggest party there but they don't have a majority.

It won't be a regular passenger airline. 'Commercial' in this context will just mean a private sector business (most probably Airtanker)

I've seen them mentioned, but I doubt any private business is going to want to be associated with this fiasco.
