Sunak laughing in the face of a former health worker and then walking away as she tries to tell her story

I am not trying to excuse it, I just find it difficult to believe he could be so dumb, politically. I wonder if we are misinterpreting it.
I think he literally is clueless in how to deal with people, hence the laugh. He does actually stop leaving and re-engage (shown on a longer clip) but basically blames junior doctors for the woes of the NHS ie lies.

He is awkward, script driven and has no understanding of the difficulties 'normal' people face, thats my take.

But then by wondering if we are misinterpreting it, it moves the blame from him to us, thereby excusing him.

I mean, who are his handlers?
Whoever is responsible for his programming needs firing.

If you were in charge of his PR you wouldn't let him loose in public, would you?!

Patronising, mocking and cowardly at the end just running away. Shocking but not surprising.

He comes across so badly when he hasn't got a pre-written script to recite and repeat ad finitum.

He clearly has no idea how to converse with the normal people.. clearly because, as he famously once said, he doesn't have any working class friends.
I suspect he doesn't have any real friends, full stop. He has absolutely zero social skills.

Gordon Brown was vilified in the press for months for his comment, let's see if this gets the same coverage eh?
He wasn’t. The story barely lasted the rest of the campaign, which only had just over a week to run. It immediately fell of the radar when he lost the election and the press started to focus on the coalition negotiations. Same as Boris and the fridge. These stories never have iegs.
