Sunderland v Leeds

Strange one tonight. I don't like seeing Sunderland top but I think Leeds are the team to beat this season.

Think I'd be happy with a draw. Longer term I still think a home win could be the better result.

Some bizarre threads on the Mackem board.

One started by a Swansea fan asking who is the bigger club out of Sunderland and Leeds.

Another by a Sunderland fan calling it a derby.

Probably both just on the wind-up to be fair.

There's some difficult fixtures for the top ten teams with a few of them playing each other (Sunderland v Leeds, Watford v Boro, Norwich v Hull). Burnley are at home to Preston which is a local Derby, Sheff Utd are playing Luton who are trying to drag themselves out of the bottom of the table, WBA play Millwall and will be lacking in confidence after two losses on the bounce and Blackburn are away to Plymouth.

I reckon a Leeds win will keep it tight at the top, followed up with wins for the Boro, Preston, Luton, Millwall and Plymouth and a Norwich and Hull draw.

Well they did play a 'home' pre-season friendly at Bradford 😀

Some think Leeds are a derby and we ain't ? Strange lot😂

It's one of those games that you'd want both to lose. So the only decent outcome is a draw. Also means we would catch up or increase gap when we win tomorrow.

2-2 and a bit of excitement. I actually think Leeds will win. Thought Sunderland were awful against us.

I hope there's a 0-0, dull game and both clubs get sanctioned for the lack of entertainment. Kicked out the league, they then meet on a cold Tuesday night one November, where a lightning strikes hits the field and electrocutes both sets of players. Somehow the ref and linesmen avoid it. All the players survive, but they all simultaneously poo themselves and their knobs explode. Disgusted by this sight both sets of fans give up watching football. The world breathes a sigh of relief.

I think the question should be phrased as "who do you want to lose less?" rather than "who do you want to win?"

This is a tough one, I don't like either club, a draw I think would suit us.

Sunderland will start to falter as the games come in quick and fast, they haven't got the squad depth needed to challenge.
