Surely the Police have better things to do than this

Surely the council have better things to spend money on than respraying lamposts just because someone has drawn on them.

It all fits nicely with the current 'trendy' narrative of 'Virtue Signalling' being of more importance than dealing with real crime that affects peoples lives daily.

Those elderly folk who have been mugged, or had their houses broken into, those who have had their cars damaged by feral youths, or been subjected to intimidation in the street are well down the list of priorities it would appear.

They will be given an incident number and nothing else will probably happen. The boxes will have been ticked though as far as the 'Hate Crime' focus around slogans on walls.

It would have been better to have ignored it. Let the council quietly paint over it and not draw attention to make it more of an issue than it should be.
