Nobody covered themselves in glory today, our best player today was Sol Bamba and even he made a mistake that led to their 2nd goal.

Lots of folks quick to jump on Tavernier's back, or the managers back for not playing him in the middle.. who plays that position he plays instead? Also who do we sacrifice in the midfield to make way for him? Let's not forget that we don't have a right back. 'LEE PELTIER' I hear you scream!! Lets not forget that we don't have a left back. It's much easier with the benefit of hindsight to chose a team after we've just been beaten.. but out of curiosity (for those having a pop at Tavernier) what team do you pick?

Play him behind the striker and where does everyone else play?
 
People saying his poor form is because he is being asked to play wingback. As far as I could see he was playing right midfield today, the position I would say he has played for us the majority of his career. He has only played centrally or wingback a handful of times. His shooting is wild, his decision making is poor and let's not mention set pieces. He definitely splits opinion on here.

Exactly this, but he’s being asked to play there and all credit to the lad he’s doing a job for the club because even though it doesn’t suit him and he’s getting slated for it. Get him back in the right position and thank him for taking one for the team, he’s only 22, massive potential in the long term.

Exactly. Has the potential to be one of the best players we have produced and will very likely be playing in the premier league within the next few years. Tav really isnt a problem for us

Sorry JM I thought it was your OP, it wasn’t my mistake, we agree. It’s a shame more can’t see it.
 
Tav plays best in the same position Payero is playing in. Maybe play them together in the central midfield roles and see how it goes supplying balls through to Sporar and Watmore to run onto
 
Why did NW **** around with a winning formation? It is clear as day that Howson is so much better at RB these days and Tav should be given a shot in the middle. Crooks looks to be our answer to the holding midfield conundrum but puts him somewhere else. Only NW would try and revert to type after stumbling on a success out of necessity. Back to square one again. Is it Paddy back in Midfield for the next game or has that one been tried before? The lack of learning beggars belief!
 
I think it unhelpful to single players out today.
Nobody played well today and a number had very poor afternoons.
It was such a disappointing performance in every way.
Decent crowd and mood and playing against a workmanlike nothing of a side, I can't figure why they were all off colour and I'm stunned at how their heads dropped. It was like they downed tools.
 
Tav is only in the team as we as a team have got worse over the last few years. Realistically we are somewhere between 8th and 15th in the Championship.

If we genuinely had a team capable of challenging for pronotion Tav would be nowhere near it.
