Team

I do wonder if the choice of forwards is based on their ability to close down and get stuck in?

I really think he might ask both forwards to drop in today, overload them in midfield and break forward by the wing backs?

I'm stunned at your view that Connolly will score bursts of goals Viv.
I'm shocked anybody other than Wilder would think that, but stunned that you have posted it Viv.

I'd love you to be right, but...

I'm not saying that he WILL, just that I have a hunch that if he gets one he seems to be the sort who'd get another few. Maybe a confidence player. He was completely anonymous today and should've been brought off long before he actually was, but the service into our strikers was dreadful all day. Long balls are not the answer. Sporar was also poor when he came on. Did Balogun even touch the ball? And Crooks was largely anonymous.

We were up against a good side but we didn't play any football. One very short spell before half time was all we managed. It's a hard job playing up front in this team.

Personally I'd be putting Coburn in on Monday. It's a good point when all is said and done but we were very lacklustre going forward IMO.

He is the least dangerous striker I've ever seen play for us.
Has he actually ever hit a football cleanly since he's been here?
Certainly not at goal.

TBF I can't argue with you. 2 goals in 16 or 17 games or whatever it is is poor because he's not creating much, either for himself or his strike partner. I'm just willing him to get one to see if he can really get himself up and running. But, as I say, I can't argue with you as the facts are there for everyone to see. The goal return is poor.

I'm still willing him to score because Wilder is going to keep on playing him and we now desperately need to win matches.
