Like I said I thought after his outburst last week he’d drop Lumley. Some I. Here read it as a warning to buck his ideas up and he’d play him to see if it it worked.


Not me I took it for what it was admonishment in the fact his faith hasn’t been repaid by performances.

He’s had enough
 
Can't argue with most of that team.

Connolly was poor on Saturday, but so was every other striker, so it's a much of muchness.
 
Lumley is no surprise, he sees something in Connolly that I don’t but he knows more about football than me and hope he is proved right.

I would hate to defend against them two, lots of movement, very quick and can be clinical.

Opens up lots of spaces for the midfield to push into.

Thats Lumley done at the Boro now I think. I was surprised Daniels wasn't number one from the start of the season but hopefully he can take his opportunity.

Should be bags of movement from the front two.

Need our midfield to control the game today. Bournemouth have some excellent technicians, if they win battle in the middle they'll win comfortably I think.

Could do with Bamba knacking Solanki early doors as well.
 
I still think that if Connolly gets one he'll get five. He's a weird player. I like him. He just seems to be the sort who'll blast a dozen goals in and then not score for three months, then hit another seven. Or maybe he's the sort who won't get you one when you need one but scores all five in a 5-0 win.

Are you really suggesting Connolly can be clinical?

I think Watmore is our best option but I wouldn’t describe him as clinical either.

Yeah, he seems to score in twos!
