Teesside Airport Rockcliffe Lounge

The thing is Norman it is loss-making and always will be. If it were a wholly private venture fair enough but it's tax payers like you and I who are having to shore it up.
I totally understand that local people are bitter about the amount of taxpayer's money going into this venture but surely seeing this money become a success is better than wishing it to fail. Enhancing the experience of people using the facility can help with that.

I'm not sure if any of you have actually flown from there recently given some of the comments. I fly from there once every 5 weeks and there's barely a seat left in the lounge areas for the morning flights. Sorry if that doesn't suit your agenda.
Flew in May on a Friday morning; it was dead.

Sorry if that doesn’t suit yours

I must admit that when I was travelling around for work, I always went to a lounge using PriorityPass, but I never did much eating :D
It was all about the 'relaxing' with as much drink as I could get down my neck before my flight boarded.

We used it last year and it was absolutely spot on. We only paid £30 before going off on the lash to Benidorm mind so we absolutely got our moneys worth. Food was a really good full English buffet. All beer and spirits included. Considering it’s £7 a pint in the departure lounge, which is really smart too by the way, it’ll depend on how much you have to drink on whether it’s value for money. Never understood all the negativity towards Teesside airport it’s absolutely ideal to use. I’d use the lounge again as well 👍🏼

away from the crowds at Teesside airport?
I don't use the airport and have no experience with it but Aztec chimera posted the following: I don't have an agenda. I'm just pointing out facts that I've been flying from there once every 5 weeks for over a year and particularly during the summer months it is almost full in the departure lounge.

It’s just the you made a sweeping statement about people not going there recently
In reply to the tone of the posts. The majority of which were written with an obvious agenda. Maybe, just maybe, some people should actually look at the facts or even better. Support their local airport by choosing to fly from there on their holidays and help it become a better and once the demand is there then it would obviously make financial sense for them to provide more flights and destinations. Just a thought.

If they offer what I'm looking for at a reasonable price I'll use them, I'm not paying over the odds when there's two other local airports available to choose from.

Somehow, I think you know this but here goes. A quiet area away from the crowds to chill before your flight and have something to eat and drink.
Not many crowds at Teesside Airport but sometimes the lounges are totally inadequate and maybe they would be better opening these areas up instead of fleecing more money of people with their outrageous pricing.

You hardly want to throw £40 worth of food and drink down you on the early morning flight. ;) Used it for 30 years until I retired. Use it about twice a year now. Facilities were poor then and not much better now.
