Teesside Park Buses (FAO Corcaigh)

Assume people living on Stockton Road will be losers here or is the bus going to go back on itself into Teesside Park?
Apparently those buses are now not going to serve Macmillan Academy, which doesn’t have its own buses these days and has students living all over Teesside. So everyone coming from the direction of Middlesbrough now has to fit on a single bus from the station. I’m not sure what the Stockton options are.

Twenty years ago I used to have late night walks across to Stockton Rd after finishing work late at Teesside Park and missing the last bus back to Stockton High Street.

Although it made you alert as a cat, there weren't actually that many of life's more interesting characters out in the vicinity.

I think one of the buses back then wasn't Stagecoach, but more like a posh van.

Looking at the app the 36, 37 and 38 will go via Middlesbrough Road and Stockton Road from the following times

05:50 till 06:32
20:00 till 23:45

All other times will just be served by the number 59 service. If the students at Macmillan Academy want to get the 36, 37 or 38 bus to get there around 8:30am then they will have to get off at Lidl Supermarket next to Newport Roundabout and walk the rest which is about 6-7 mins.

Google maps has it as a 15 minute walk. To be fair, I used to walk from Longford Street when I went there after staying at my dad’s for the weekend. It’s not ideal for a pre teen child to have to get 2 buses and then a 15 minute walk before and after school though, especially in winter.

It's not so long back that we were a civilised nation and the newer schools had their own bus stops capable of holding numerous buses. The same went for some larger factories.

The ranks are still there at Billingham Campus, the schools have gone.

Ha I didn't even know Campus had gone, can see now it was 15 years ago. I went to Bede before it was redone and haven't been down Marsh House Avenue in years.

How could anyone demolish Jet's old school??

I was out on my bike and eneded up coming in past St Micks - I thought I'd have a look and it was unrecognisable to what it used to be
