Terrible crash at the Grand Prix

Car broken in two. A miraculous escape for Grosjean. Apparently he has burns to his leg so hope he's ok.
 
I don't know how he has walked away from that, it looks horrific. Seems ok from reports and videos but I bet that shakes you up a bit, would certainly focus my attention a bit!

Barriers should be there to absorb impact, not just to bring the car to a dead stop.

What did he hit to cause that fireball??

So glad he's ok!
 
Utterly amazed he survived the crash and the fire.

The sport and the drivers have numerous critics however this demonstrates how much courage these guys have.
 
Genuinely no idea how he isn't more seriously hurt.
Ripped the car clean in two. Like Brundle said I agree with him that barriers almost acted like a tin opener and opened the car up.

As for the halo? Definitely saved his life, look at the front half of the car still wedged in the crash barrier.

Yeah cant understand the objection for the halo for so many years. Definitely saved his life today as it has a few other times over the years. Would have likely saved Bianchi too
 
Great to see him walk away without too much damage to himself considering how bad the crash looked. Seems the safety measures F1 have in place today are working really well.
