Terrible crash at the Grand Prix

Not a grand prix fan, but just watched a few laps. Modern circuits are bland these days.

Suspect that might be his last F1 race but thankfully not for the wrong reason. Testament to the hard work of the FIA and designers that he walked away from that with minor injuries.

Yeah he doesn't look in any shape to be racing next weekend?
Do Haas promote Schumacher early?

Presumably they'll have enough spare components and time to rebuild the car for Friday?
Not sure about Haas but Racing Point said they had spare chassis with them in case they had to rebuild Stroll's.
p.s Did Racing Point flick the remote cut out switch on Perez's car? 2 podiums in a row might have been a bit embarrassing.

I often wonder why they don’t put speed bumps on these circuits as it would surely keep the drivers a lot safer . It works on my road !

Could have seen the last of metal crash barriers. All run off areas should have standard tyre walls.

Having said that, I was surprised that in this day and age an F1 car could combust as fast as Romains car did yesterday.

Good question, they are the poorest team out there. I imagine they'll try and get a car with Fittapaldi or Delatraz in but whether they have the resource to get it ready and whether they can get their driver to the middle east remains to be seen.

The more I see the front of Romains car, the more amazed I am that he survived. It's a miracle of luck that he did, that he wasn't knocked out by the crash, or suffocated during the fireball, or trapped under the barrier. That is the most spectacular way of ending an F1 career.

Racing point must be gutted. Cars upside down cars barbecued. Nightmare. Serves them right for not keeping Perez on next year.
