That had to be the worst VAR decision ever Luton equaliser

One thing that has definitely improved this season is Howard Webb more openly discussing decisions.

This can only be a good thing.

Hopefully this will lead us to more live audio and the discussions being more open at the time.

I would like the refs going to the TV earlier - or them initially being able to watch the replays in the stadium.

Every sport has problems with officials - and all fans think it is the worst it has ever been. And that is because of more scrutiny and media than ever. The more open the decision making the better in my eyes.

Have a look at Allison v Man City (Dias goal but foul by Akanji) which was disallowed by VAR.
Howard Webb, Dermot Gallagher all pundits all agreed it was the correct decision to disallow the goal.
You cant disallow that and allow Luton goal to stand.
Just so inconsistent

That VAR clip is unbelievable.

"How many of them are following me"

"There's about six of them".

I mean Christ. The bloke is so reliant on VAR in his ear he goes to them rather than turning his head to see how many people are following him.

Cut it off. Let the bloke ref the game himself and if he makes mistakes so be it. Luck has always been a part of football.

I’ve had a look. They’re totally different incidents. You can’t have two of the key discussions that surrounded the review of the Luton one about the Man City one. You can’t discuss whether it’s relevant the keeper didn’t jump in the Man City case because he did. You can’t discuss whether it’s relevant the keeper wasn’t challenging for/ wouldn’t have got to the ball in the Man City case because he was and could have.

A appeal to consistency is totally out of place here. The facts are inconsistent. You should get inconsistent decisions on inconsistent facts.
